🌟 Plovm’s Exciting Journey to Find Our UK HQ! 🌟

This summer, Plovm embarked on an incredible journey across the UK to find the perfect location for our new headquarters. Our mission was to identify a city that not only aligns with our values but also offers a supportive and inclusive environment for the neurodivergent community. We visited Manchester, Leeds, and Newcastle, each city offering unique insights into neurodiversity inclusion and attention to the needs of our community.

Manchester: A Hub of Vibrant Initiatives

In Manchester, we were impressed by the city’s vibrant initiatives and support networks for neurodivergent individuals. The city's dedication to fostering an inclusive environment was evident in every interaction. Manchester boasts a rich history of advocacy and support for neurodiversity, with numerous organizations and initiatives dedicated to improving the lives of neurodivergent individuals. The city's commitment to inclusivity was palpable, and we were inspired by the collaborative spirit and innovative approaches we encountered. We met with a few local initiatives towards helping pre-diagnosed neurodivergent people and also those helping with work apprenticeships when their curriculum didn’t make them qualify to a regular job.

Leeds: Committed to Inclusive Practices

Leeds showcased its commitment to inclusive practices, making everyday interactions smoother for everyone. The city's efforts to create a welcoming atmosphere for the neurodivergent community were inspiring. Leeds has implemented various programs and policies aimed at promoting inclusivity and accessibility. From inclusive education initiatives to community support groups, Leeds demonstrated a strong commitment to ensuring that neurodivergent individuals feel valued and supported. The city's focus on creating an inclusive environment was evident in its infrastructure, services, and community engagement.

Newcastle: Innovative and Community-Driven

Newcastle stood out with its innovative approaches and community-driven solutions. The city's focus on creating tailored solutions for the neurodivergent community was particularly noteworthy, particularly Northumbria University had a high focus on helping their neurodivergent students. Newcastle has a thriving community of advocates and innovators who are passionate about improving the lives of neurodivergent individuals. The city's innovative approaches to neurodiversity inclusion were impressive, with a strong emphasis on community collaboration and grassroots initiatives. Newcastle's commitment to fostering an inclusive environment was evident in its forward-thinking policies and community-driven projects.

Our Mission at Plovm

Our mission at Plovm is to teach experts—from teachers to cashiers—how to interact with neurodivergent individuals and to build a network that connects these experts with the neurodivergent community. We aim to make society adapt to us, not the other way around.

Gratitude and Connections

We are grateful for the insights and connections we made along the way. Special thanks to Andrea Winters in Manchester, Dawn Dunn in Newcastle, and Katy Raife in Leeds for their invaluable support and guidance through this trip.
